My God, my help (2017)

​​My God, my help was written for the 2017 Spirit Wind Choir, a youth choir that meets during the summers and tours around West Texas. It was a regret of mine that I was never able to participate, but my brother sang with them for most of his high school summers. I was so happy to have the chance to become a small part of the Spirit Wind family when I was asked to write this anthem for them for their 40th anniversary. The text is taken from Psalms 63, one of David’s Psalms when he was in the desert, crying out for the love and comfort of the Lord.
